Tabcorp and 1/ST Content have secured a long-term agreement with the Jockey Club of Turkiye (Türkiye Jokey Kulübü, TJK) to broadcast Turkish horseracing in Australia via Tabcorp’s Sky Racing platform.

This partnership provides Australian audiences with live access to Turkish racing events, including the prestigious Gazi Derby, and supports both pari-mutuel and fixed-odds betting.

As a result of this agreement, Sky Racing will now showcase Turkish races, adding to its lineup of international events such as the Breeders’ Cup, Epsom Derby, and Royal Ascot. This expansion allows TAB, Tabcorp’s wagering service, to become the first operator to offer vision and betting on Turkish races.

The collaboration is part of a coordinated effort involving TJK, 1/ST Content, and B2E Racing Content, which has established the infrastructure for betting and viewing.

Paul Carew, COO at Tabcorp, remarked: “Thanks to our strategic alliance with 1/ST Content, alongside Arena Racing and Racecourse Media Group, Sky Racing continues to solidify its reputation as Australia’s gateway to premier international racing. This new deal exemplifies that commitment.

“Anyone familiar with the Gazi Derby knows that Turkey is a nation passionate about horse racing, regularly delivering exciting competition and showcasing standout trainers and jockeys on the global stage.”

Simon Fraser, Senior Vice President International at 1/ST Content, added: “Tabcorp is a longstanding and valued partner for 1/ST Content in Australia. Their unparalleled distribution reach and local expertise enhance our delivery.

“We are also excited to extend this partnership by bringing Turkish racing to Tabcorp’s Asian audiences through Sky Channel in early 2025.”
