Belle Corporation, a publicly traded company in the Philippines and the parent company of Premium Leisure Corp, has confirmed that Premium Leisure has applied for a new casino license. This announcement was made in response to media inquiries about speculation regarding Premium Leisure’s potential plans for establishing a new casino on land that was once part of an air base in Clark City.

Belle Corporation clarified that Premium Leisure has submitted an application for a gaming license to government regulators. However, the company emphasized that any potential investments or project developments are still at a very preliminary stage. This is especially true for the proposed casino in Clark City, located in Central Luzon, as the application has not yet been reviewed or approved by the relevant authorities.

The company assured that it will provide appropriate disclosures once any definitive decisions are made and confirmed. Premium Leisure is currently a co-licensee of the City of Dreams Manila, which is operated by Melco Resorts and Entertainment in Entertainment City, Manila. Other notable establishments in Entertainment City include Solaire by Bloomberry, Newport World Resorts by Travellers Inc, Westside City by Suntrust, and Okada Manila by Tiger Leisure.

While Premium Leisure is in the early stages of applying for a license, Clark City already hosts integrated resorts, such as Hann Resorts. Hann Resorts has announced plans for an initial public offering (IPO), which could raise up to PHP 20 billion (approximately USD 342.2 million), potentially making it the largest IPO in the Philippines since MREIT’s PHP 15 billion (approximately USD 260 million) IPO in 2021.
