Bet365 has released its 2024 Year in Sports Betting report, providing insights into key trends and evolving market dynamics.

The report highlights developments across regulated markets in North America, Latin America, and Europe, alongside an analysis of shifting betting preferences.

In the NFL, the Kansas City Chiefs led betting activity, driven by their strong on-field performance and increased media attention on Travis Kelce. Similarly, the Boston Celtics topped NBA wagers, with the Oklahoma City Thunder ranking second, as fans focused on standout player performances in prop markets.

Women’s sports saw significant growth, with global WNBA betting increasing by 67%. This surge was attributed to rising interest in emerging players and greater media coverage, which also contributed to heightened engagement with women’s college basketball.

Player prop markets experienced notable growth, fueled by demand for personalized betting options. Athletes such as Nikola Jokic in the NBA and Saquon Barkley in the NFL became popular choices for bettors interested in individual performance metrics.

The report also emphasizes Bet365’s ongoing expansion. Following its entry into Pennsylvania earlier this year and its launch in Peru, the company is gearing up for potential operations in Brazil, pending regulatory approval.

Additionally, Bet365 expanded its partnerships in 2024, collaborating with Inspired and Playtech in Pennsylvania and teaming up with Betmakers to introduce fixed-odds horseracing in New Jersey and Colorado.Bet365’s innovative features, including early payouts and flash betting options, were also recognized for enhancing the user experience.
