ComeOn Group, a prominent iGaming operator, has expanded its footprint in Ontario by introducing a sportsbook component to its well-established online casino platform. This move follows the acquisition of essential regulatory permits, marking a significant milestone for the company as it targets doubling its sportsbook business in the coming years. By leveraging proprietary technology and specialized risk management capabilities, ComeOn is strengthening its position in Ontario’s regulated market, joining a select group of 51 licensed operators.

ComeOn Group initially entered the Ontario market in April 2022 after securing a gambling license from the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO). This initial license allowed the company to offer online casino games and its popular streaming service, WeSpin, to local players. Now, with the addition of a sportsbook, ComeOn is broadening its service offerings as part of a global strategy to grow its sportsbook presence.

Ontario’s gaming market, projected to reach C$6.7 billion in 2023, has attracted numerous international operators due to its growth potential. Projections show that Ontario’s market revenue could increase by 29% by 2029, with a 20% growth expected in 2024. ComeOn Group’s commitment to Ontario reflects its focus on user engagement and capitalizing on opportunities in this competitive market.

Juergen Reutter, CEO of ComeOn Group, shared his excitement about the Ontario expansion: “We are thrilled about the opportunities this milestone brings. As a casino-led operator, it represents a key part of our sportsbook strategy to double our business in the coming years. Like in our other markets, we aim to deliver a differentiated sportsbook entertainment experience through our in-house technology, focusing on delivering top-tier entertainment and fostering safe, innovative gaming experiences.”

Proprietary Technology and Expansion Initiatives

ComeOn Group’s Ontario approach centers on its proprietary sportsbook platform, backed by a dedicated risk management and trading team. This in-house platform allows the company to offer a localized, engaging sportsbook experience tailored to market needs. The recent opening of a new hub in Graz, Austria, further reinforces this commitment, serving as a center for sportsbook, technology, and risk management operations. This investment in centralized technology is expected to bolster the scalability of ComeOn’s sportsbook offerings across multiple markets, supporting its long-term growth goals. Additionally, ComeOn recently joined NOGA, the Dutch gambling trade association, after securing a license to provide online gambling, sportsbook, casino, and live casino services in the Netherlands.
